GETTING TO KNOW FASHION MODEL AND INFLUENCER ANGELA ASTAKHOVA

Tell us a little bit about yourself. How did you get started in the fashion industry?

Angela: I’m a model and creator currently living in San Diego. I am fluent in 2 languages and outside of entertainment my hobbies include health and fitness.

Beauty and fashion have always been my passion and I’ve always enjoyed following fashion trends. I started posting more often on social media about a year ago, and started getting inquiries about new opportunities from brands, photographers, and agents as my involvement increased, and I’m eager to see where this journey takes me!

What have been some of the highlights of your career as a model?

Angela: I walked for Prep Curry at LA Fashion Week Festival by The Model Experience, and was featured in Emblem3 “We Made It” Music Video Directed by George Bamber. I also competed for finalist at Miss Swimsuit USA, walked in swim week, and partnered with Vasaro, Haute Swimwear, and various swimwear brands.

What is your favorite way to spend a day off?

Angela: My favorite way to take a day off is sleep in, go to the gym and hit a long workout, come home and cook a healthy meal then go on a run on the beach and watch the sunset and then go out with my friends later at night.

What are some locations on your bucket list to travel to, and why?

Angela: Dubai because I want to experience the middle eastern lifestyle. Greece because it’s beautiful and so magical. Israel because there’s so much history to see there.

What advice do you have for people looking to get more out of social media?

Angela: Be confident and fearless. Ignore the opinions of others, you can’t please everyone. Put yourself out there, take advantage of every opportunity you are given, and don’t take everything too seriously— it’s all meant to be enjoyable and fun!
