GETTING TO KNOW FASHION INFLUENCER ASHLYN BARNELL

How did you get started in the fashion industry?

Ashlyn: I started working at a Boutique in my college town and began to create a lot of content for them. The owner loved the content I was creating for the brand and began to use me for modeling and additional content creation. Through this, I learned a lot about marketing and ways to showcase my love for fashion.

What are some of your favorite brands? What do you like most about them?

Ashlyn: I have a lot of brands that I shop at consistently, but I would have to say my favorite one at the moment is Zara or H&M. Both of these brands have items that are cute and have great quality. Every time I shop with them I always find great items to add to my wardrobe.

What is your favorite way to spend a day off?

Ashlyn: I enjoy being productive throughout my days and then relaxing at night. I enjoy going to the gym or for a walk, cooking, cleaning, and preparing for the rest of my week. I also get content done and work on editing.

What are some locations on your bucket list to travel to, and why?

Ashlyn: Greece, Bora Bora, Spain, Paris, and Italy. All of these locations are absolutely beautiful and I have heard they’re all a lot of fun! I also think it’d be amazing for content purposes.

What advice do you have for people looking to get more out of social media?

Ashlyn: Follow pages that make you happy and match your energy. Also, don’t get too caught up in it I know it is so easy to compare your life and appearance based off of the “perfect” lifestyles on social media but not everything that you see is raw emotions and can be staged. Another great way to get more out of your socials is to inspire people to be their best selves and spread positivity and love.
