GETTING TO KNOW FASHION MODEL MIA MCKAY

How did you get started in the modeling industry?

Mia: I got started in the fashion industry while I was in college and began working at a small boutique in Winter Park. I really got to learn a lot more about the industry while working there!

What is your favorite brand? What do you like most about them?

Mia: I love timeless and classic brands like Yves Saint Laurent because they are iconic and will never go out of style. I also really like what brands like Abercrombie and Aritzia are doing by emphasizing basics instead of fast fashion.

What is your favorite way to spend a day off?

Mia: My favorite way to spend a day off is to be around my family and friends or going to the beach.

What are some locations on your bucket list to travel to, and why?

Mia: Some of the locations on my bucket list to travel is Greece, Italy, and Thailand. All of those places look so beautiful and the culture looks amazing!

What is some advice that you have for people looking to get more out of social media?

Mia: My biggest advice to people looking to get more out of social media is to network with people and brands as much as possible. The worst that can happen is you hear a “no”!
