GETTING TO KNOW FASHION MODEL MATILDA DAHLIN

How did you get started in the fashion industry?

Matilda: I got started in a beauty pageant senior year in high school, but soon realized that pageants weren’t my thing. I started to build my portfolio with fashion photographers and with the help of my mother who is also a photographer, doing several high fashion shoots that eventually led me to being signed to modeling agencies and getting managers in the industry.

What are some of your favorite types of projects to work on?

Matilda: I love to work on magazine covers and spreads, but mostly enjoy modeling for brands for new collections and promotional ads. I love promoting brands on social media as well and getting local brands out there.

What is your favorite brand?

Matilda: My favorite brands are Guess and Dior.

What do you like most about them?

Matilda: Both brands represents class and beauty and brings out beauty in women no matter what clothing you decide to wear.

What advice do you have for people looking to get more out of social media?

Matilda: Be yourself! Don’t compare yourself to others. We have to stay true to ourselves and love the way we are. Know that YOU are beautiful and that you are ENOUGH.
